just to let everyone know, my xbox quit working on X-mas day...... after playing modern warfare 2 for like 3 hrs...... conspiracy anyone? anyways just leting you know that i cant log on for a bit and FFXI withdraw sux!

i no longer have member stat on here btw, and yeah it red ringed a few times, weird thing is: it plays some games and not others, it will play my mass effect / halo 3 which are more damaged than my FFXI disk is.... strange. and idk about the warranty thing, i got my xbox the day it came out so I doubt its still covered.

Actually, Microsoft dropped the ball so bad with building the 360, that they put out that red-ring of death = lifetime warranty, so as long as you haven't tried to modify it or anything illegal, then it's covered forever. And if you got it when they first came out, then it is definitely one of the ones that were affected by the poor quality of how they were built, so I would recommend looking up the number from the website, and get it replaced for free with one that wasn't shoddily built.
